For SPM Certificate
Whoever lost their SPM certificates can come in person to the Malaysian Examinations Syndicate (MES) in Putrajaya or apply through post. The process is very simple as you just need to fill a form applying for a copy of SPM results as well as a postal order for RM10. Don’t forget to bring together your MyKad.
The form, which can be downloaded from the syndicate website at http://www.moe.gov.my/lp, is also available at its office at Block E11 in Putrajaya.
The Malaysian Examinations Syndicate is able to process the application in an hour if they come in person with the relevant documents. Please take note that all application through post must be accompanied with a police report together with the other relevant documents.
The police report was to ensure that the certificate did not fall into the wrong hands. This process was only applicable to people who sat for the SPM from 1994 onwards. Those who sat for the SPM before 1994 would need to wait two weeks before receiving a copy of their certificate as the information on the examinations had not been digitalised, she added.
For STPM Certificate
For those who lost their STPM certificates should download a form from its website at http://www.mpm.edu.my. A fee of RM50 will be charged for each application. Police report are not required.
A copy of STPM cert could be ready in two hours if the application was made in person at its counter in Bandar Baru Selayang. “If the application is done by post, the MEC will process and post it a day after receiving the application.
