Amanah Saham Bumiputera (ASB) unitholders received dividend of 7.65 sen and a bonus 1.15 sen per unit for the financial year ending 31st December 2011 which brings a total of 8.8 sen distribution income for year 2011.
If we compared with last year performance, the dividend for 2011 is 1.5 sen higher compared to 7.50 sen declared in 2011 while the bonus is 0.1 sen lower than the amount declared in 2010, at 1.25 sen.
Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB) chairman, Tan Sri Ahmad Sarji Abdul Hamid, said the income distribution portion involved a total payout of RM7.04 billion and the bonus portion RM628.29 million. From the announcement made by PNB recently, the dividend income are from :
- investee companies contributed RM4.09bil
- profit from the sale of shares contributed RM2.25bil (31.3%)
- investment in short-term instruments and other investments RM0.85bil (11.8%)
To finalise the dividend and bonus payout, as usual all ASB transactions will be suspended starting from 21st December 2011 to 2nd January 2012. The income distribution and bonus would be automatically credited into the respective unitholder’s account. Unitholders could update their accounts beginning 3rd January 2012 at ASNB branches or agents nationwide.
For Amanah Saham Nasional unitholders will receive a of 6.05 sen per unit for Sekim Amanah Nasional (ASN) for the financial year ending 31st December 2011. The figure is 0.05 sen higher when compared with 6 sen per declared last year.
As of 23rd December 2011, ASN recorded a gross income of RM114.67 million. Of that amount, profit from the sale of shares contributed RM58.71 million or 51.2 per cent.Dividend income from investment in companies, contributed RM43.33 million or 37.8 per cent while the balance of RM12.63 million or 11 per cent was derived from other instruments.
