Deposit Foreign Cheque in Al-Rajhi

I remembered posted in this blog on  my experience when applying for debit card with Al-Rajhi bank.  Today, I would like to share with you my experience on clearing my US cheques.   I deposited 2 cheques early January in their ATM machine, Kajang branch.  I thought the process will be much faster compared to local bank, ye lor, they are big in names, world-wide company.

Unfortunately, they took almost 2 months to process and the money was only debited into my account last week.  The worst part is on their helpline. I did called them few times to enquiry on my checque status. Nobody can actually anwser me, seems like no body has control. The HQ said, its Kajang branch to handle and vice versa…..

So,lesson learnt, better use CIMB or Maybank for this purpose. How about the fees ? I didnt check how much they charge me. What do you think ?
