I’m a graduating student of B.ED TESL, expected May 2011. I’m actually interested to apply for the scholarship to study literature. but I was told that I should be fluent in Japanese so that I will be accepted for the course. My question is, is there any chance of me applying for English literature for the scholarship? thank you
Chances are lower than normal, your field of study does require a good lvl of japanese (there are none, or almost none in english) , but you should give it a try, I’ve seen people got that scholarship without even deserve it. You should focus on learning as much as you can about literature in Japan , Haikus , authors etc , that would increase your chances.
Best of luck!
