Introduction

Applications are invited from eligible candidates who will be pursuing a bachelor degree programme at local IPTA commencing 2011/12 academic year.

General Requirements:

1. Applicants must be Malaysians.
2. Applicants must be under 22 years of age during application.
3. Applicants be enrolled first-year students in their first degrees at IPTA.
4. Applicants has received no other scholarship offers prior to application.
5. Applicants must sign an agreement that they will serve the Malaysian government, especially the IPTA.

Specific Requirements:

1. Applicants must be first-year students in their first semester.
2. Applicants scored 7A+ in their SPM with an honours in Bahasa Melayu or any equivalent subject.
3. Applicants must score a CGPA of 3.50 at their IPTA foundation/ Matriculation/ STPM level.
4. Successful applicants must maintain a CGPA of 3.30 every semester from the first semester onwards to be eligible for furthering their studies overseas.
5. Recipients of this scholarship with a CGPA lower than 3.00 will be suspended from receiving allowance until they boost their CGPAs above the 3.00 mark.
6. Recipients of this scholarship with a CGPA lower than 2.75 for two semesters subsequently will be suspended of the scholarships. They would then need to pay back the scholarship that was lost.

Ineligible students:

1. Students who do not fulfill the general and specific requirements of the scholarship.
2. Students who have obtained their first degrees or postgraduate/ departmental diplomas.
3. Students who are enrolled in Matriculation, IPTA/ IPTS foundation and Pre-University programmes.
4. Students enrolled in part-time or distance learning courses.

3. The application form should be printed and verified by university officials before presenting it to the Scholarship Department, Kementerian Pengajian Tinggi (KPT).
4. Only COMPLETE applications with thorough information will be processed.
5. Applications are considered complete when applicants:

(a) click on the “SIMPAN & CETAK” button, and
(b) print their complete forms and send it to the Scholarship Department, KPT.

22nd of August, 2011. 2. Application forms with verified supporting documents must be sent through post or personally sent to the Scholarship Department no later than the 13th of September, 2011.

Information

1. Applicants will be called for an interview.
2. Students can check to see whether they’ve been called for interview at the KPT website at 2pm on the 19th of
September, 2011.
3. The interview session will be held on the 24th of September, 2011.
4. Results for the interview will be announced on the 11th of October, 2011 at 12 noon.
