Good news to all who wanted to contact friend who are on DIGI telco line. Digi has recently announced their partnership with Google to offer Gmail SMS.
With Google’s Gmail SMS, you can send free text messages to your DiGi friends directly from your Gmail account!
How to activate ?
First thing you need to do is to activate “SMS in Chat” in Gmail Lab. Next, you need to setup your contact’s phone number in Gmail Chat. Your chat message will later be sent to your friend as an SMS. Any replies to the text message will appear as a reply in Chat at your Gmail account.
The charges for DiGi customers is 0, however any message sent back from your mobile phones will be charged RM0.10 per SMS.
