Hong Kiat at his blog has posted very good review for those who want to choose CPM Advertisement Network. What is CPM anyway ? CPM (Cost Per thousand Impressions) Advertisement Network pay the publisher based on 1000 page/ads impression. For example if the campaign priced at $1 CPM, you would be making $1 per thousand impressions.

How about CPC ? CPC stands for cost per click (i.e Adsense) , where publisher will be paid based on number of clicks receives and CPC payments do not depend on number of impressions.

Which one is the best for a blog ? Like what you can see in many popular blogs, they normally implement both the CPC and CPM to maximise profit. Very often, the CPM programme only accepted high traffic and quality website in their programme.

My personal experience for example, i applied 3 times for the Tribal fusion and only on the 3rd time it been approved.

So back to Hong Kiat’s review, out of 21 CPM networks listed I might want to try another CPM ads for my website and based on the comments,I might wanna try CPX Interactive.

I got it just now the highest payment from Text-Link for December 2007 and I have opted this time payment to my paypal. Eventhough the payment is so little, but at least $28.32 can cover few of my domains.

Eventhough many of bloggers has dropped text link ads but I still maintain it as long as I get good advertiser and 1 think you should know the web is only PR3, nothing to shout about.

Have you heard about Kontera’s affiliate programme ? I never thought that they have such programme because I can’t see any button or link in my accounts dashboard. However, when I visited Ades Blog, I wonder how he can have a 125×125 kontera referal button on his blog.

This has lead me to email the kontera’s support and basically they only offer their Affiliate programme to publishers who met the following requirement :

1. Publisher must be in good standing with Kontera.
2. Publisher has to run our Content links for at least 3 months.
3. Publisher revenue of $100 or more each month.

When a site signs up through your Affiliate Link, you will receive 10% of their Net Revenue for the first year.

Out of the 3 requirement, I think I have not meet the 3rd requirement

Other than ades Blog, I noticed Hong Kiat also has participate in the Kontera affiliate programme. He has his own link .

Previously I used  BCB or currently known as CIMB to clear all my US cheques (adsense, reviewme.com etc), but since I just recently open Al-Rajhi saving account, I decided to give them a try and if the charge is minimal I might continue to use them.

To deposit US cheque in AlRajhi Bank is similar to other bank process, go to ATM, insert your ATM/debit card and follow the instruction. But I confused a bit when the system ask for cheque amount in RM as US cheque is always in USD. So what is the solution ? Like what I did with CIMB many months ago, I just key in RM38.16 (my cheque amount is USD38.16).

Nothing new in November, my income is just like many month before but I have added and tried new programme which I will closely monitor its progress.

Text-Link-Ads is just like previous month, I sell the same link to same advertiser for the past 6 months. But this time I opted for paypal to receive payment, since the money is only $10.62, I just plan to use it to buy/renew domain in future.

Google Adsense ? My income last month was $16. Nothing to shout about since this blog receive very little traffic but at least my initial target to use adsense income to pay for the hosting and domain still achievable I guess.

Shoppingads.com Sad to tell, my account has been suspended without any reason given. I tried to get explanation but they dont brave enough I think to give explanation.  For almost 1 week in the programme, I can see nice $12 in my account statement.

Tribalfusion I was accepted in this programme last month and only displayed the ads on 20 Nov and my account statement shown that my earning was $ 32.90. Not bad huh but the ads make my page loading time very slow.

I received invitation from TLA on their first CPC programme called ShoppingAd . ShoppingAds is a cost per click ad product powered by the major shopping comparison sites where SA will display relevant merchant offers in the publisher site and get paid for every clicks.  SA also claimed to be compliance with the google adsense and has an average of 0.25 cents for every clicks…not bad huh.

Using the activation code given, I tried to register SA but was rejected due to my email already been used…and the system prompt that this programme was also previously known as AuctionAds.com. Do TLA bought over Auction Ads ? May be my reader can answer that, but I will implement SA in my site early next month, as currently I have widgetbucks implemented. Wait for next month yeah…

This is my second kontera cheque and its slightly higher than the first ones. I am proud to have it as another source of income. Looking at my current account statement, I anticipate that  this month onwards I can get at least USD150 from kontera. This kontera money is from my various websites.

This is my first cheque received from Text-Link-Ads pogramme, too little and the smallest amount I ever receive from online programme. Its actually for 3 months, every month I sell 1 link worth $10 each and just yesterday the cheque reach me.

People only buy link if your site has good PR, my TLA income came from my PR4 site. The cost for advertiser for such link is $25, and as advertiser I get $10++, the rest goes to TLA.

I just read AdesBlog on his decision to drop Advertlets from his blog. He said established bloggers who were already making enough money from other sources were not so satisfied with the performance of Advertlets.

I tend to agreed with his comment as you can see in many Malaysian pro blogger site, many of them choose other advertsing programme and not Advertlets.

My experience

I am not a pro blogger, so definitely I will test advertlets until I get my first payment. Furthermore, TextLink never works on my blog due to low traffic and maybe PR. Most probably I will continue with Advertlets. For record, I joined Advertlets in May this year, and my accounts showed that my earning is RM49++ .
